weekend

The weekend didn't go exactly as planned, I have to admit. On Friday, Max, Andrew and Niamh all arrived in London, and went straight to Scally's place... so we were left waiting for them for a couple of hours. When they finally got in touch they were going to eat and chill for a while before going out for drinks. So we decided to catch a movie while waiting, and went to see Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone. Great movie, much better than I though, and ultimately highly entertaining :-) After that we went to the Two Brewers in Clapham and started getting drunk. Its getting a little annoying that we ALWAYS go to gay bars/clubs when Max is around... not that I mind the places, just that its the same fucking thing over and over again. Have to do something about that. Anyway, Saturday was Scally's party, which was really good. Good crowd, lots of booze, good athmosphere. Before that we had gone to do one of Kate's bus tours around London, which turned out to be a laugh - seems that Kate's particular brand of sarcasm makes it into her tours too ;-) My tooth started getting sore though (the one with the abscess), and it continued getting worse for the rest of the weekend. I'm pumped up on ibuprofen and codeine at the moment, so I can't feel much, but it'll be back. I've got an appointment with the lovely Dr. McVeigh tomorrow to have it treated. I need to get it completely fixed this time, the temporary dressings she puts on it keep falling out (usually when I eat popcorn, which is stupid of me).
