munich

18:08GMT. Bored. Sitting on a plane, just starting our descent into Heathrow, drinking my second G&T. I was supposed to get up at 05:30 this morning, though I overslep until the cab driver called at six ;-) I've been in Munich on business for the day, though a better description would be that I've spent most of today in airports. You know how abyssimal Heathrow is, right? I was there for about two hours this morning. That wasn't so bad though, I bought the Lost Boys on DVD :-) My business in Munich didn't take as long as I had thought it would though, so I ended up back in München (Munich to all the rest of you!) airport at about 14:30 - in time for a flight at five. British Airways being what they are, the lounge in Munich is only for members of their Executive Club, so I had to sit with the masses downstairs. Not that I really minded, don't get the impression that I'm turning into an expense-account-wanker, but there isn't anywhere to plug my laptop into in the pleb-lounge ;-) So I had to drink Weiss-bier, eat Bretzen and bite my nails to shreds (being off the smokes was painful today). When I got to the airport I was wait-listed for a flight at 15:35, which was delayed until 16:45 which I couldn't get on anyway so ended up on the flight I was supposed to be on anyway. The only problem there is that I lost the initiative in getting the window seat I wanted. Though in fairness, even though the guy to my right smells a bit, it's flattering to see that the chick on my left is definitely giving me 'come-on' looks. Anna, if you were here, I'd bet you'd want to kill her!…(later)...I was right :-)
