database, trip and no book

I think I've almost gotten the database thingy working working.  I can now retrieve records from the table and parse them as you see on this page (example can be seen here)... but I can't get info INTO the damn thing.  I never thought Access would be so hard to program for - that's what I get for using SQL Server all the time.  Spoiled.
My book didn't arrive, they said they'd call tomorrow and let me know what's happening.  They better have it in. 'cos I'm going to Germany on Sunday and I don't want to wait 10 days to read it.  Did I mention I'm going to Germany on Monday?  That's going to be funky - we're going snowboarding :-)  I'll see if I can update this from there, but I don't know yet if I'm gonna bring my laptop - it IS a holiday ;-)
