So the kitchen floor has been stripped out and replaced with lovely terracotta files. There are a couple of "feature" tiles in the floor which have a pattern carved onto their sufrace. They are in the middle column, second and fourth from the bottom in the picture. Unfortunately this image doesn't really convey just how nice this material is, or how good it looks.

This is our mood board for the kitchen. Light pannelled door fronts on the left,dark countertops on the right, marble and sandstone tiles for the wall. Floor will be terracotta.

These are the colours of our new kitchen. The floor is going to be covered in large terracotta tiles, which we don't have a sample of yet. The cream in the background will be the unit doors, the dark slate is the counter-tops. The marble is going between them and we'll spread the small darker tiles out in the marble to break it up and tie in with the floor.
