Tomorrow I go to Washington, and Anna goes to Venice. Today we went out with the intention of going to either the Millennium Wheel or the Tate Modern. The wheeel had too large a queue, and the Tate was closed. OK, it IS Easter Sunday, but that sucks. Instead we wandered up the South Bank and found ourselves in The Clink - the museum of prisons, which is built on the site of the first prison in London, and the one which gave rise to the slang 'The Clink' :-) It wasn't much, but it was interesting. After that we went to see Erin Brockovoch, and then ended up going to Mission to Mars too. I hope there are good movies playing on the plane tomorrow.

Our Wedding plans are going nicely... we've gotten most of the invitations done now, and just have to finish a couple more before we post them. I do have to say though, judging by how tense Anna is now, things are going to be... interesting... when we get closer to the wedding ;-) I can understand why - I want it to be a good day too, but I'm not going to be tense about it for another few months yet ;-) So, next week we all go away - me to Washington and Anna to Venice. She's going to meet her parents there, they've been in Italy for the last week or so. I'm going to take my new team to the Mothership to do some training and show them around.

I have a really fucking sore throat at the moment, and I'm unhappy about that. I probably have to give a speech tomorrow, I'm definitely going to have to talk to my new team for a lot of the day, and I'm just not in the mood for this :-( If this turns into the flu then I'm goint to be majorly pissed off. Oh, and we broke the bed last night sometime (purely innocently I have to add!).

Anna's friend Siebel is in London for the week to do an English course. We took her out today to see Camden Market and Wagamama. Then we went to see The Beach, which wasn't as good as it could have been... though the beach in question really is something special to look at :-) We ended up going to Waterstones for a couple of drinks. Its really pleasant there - nice ambient athmosphere and they sell Absinthe ;-) Tomorrow we're going to what sounds like a really interesting exhibition - its called the Museum of Feelings, and is apparently more than just visual... we'll see tomorrow what its like. Adolfo got married today. How fucked up is that eh? Hope ya'all remember that he's the one who started Escoba. Anyway, Rob, if you read this before getting my mail (which I haven't written yet), I'll be in San Jose in May for a week - we should get together :-) I don't know what the schedule is like yet, but I think it'll be pretty intense. Regardless of anything else - its a Macintosh developer conference - imagine what that's going to do to my head ;-)

Happy Birthday Anna!!!
Yep, today is Anna's birthday :-) We went out to Hampton Court Palace for the day. The weather really sucked... the temperature felt like it was down at about -30C, and there was a lot of cold rain falling. For me, that kinda put a damper on the day, which was a pity, because the palace is incredible. There is a CD audio tour you can take around with you, which allows you to move at your own pace and focus on things you want to see. It was also quite humorous, with more anecdotal information than I would have expected from such a place. I have to say, the sense of history is pretty rich - William of Orange's appartments are there in a condition which is apparently very similar to when he was ruler. Henry VIII lived there, with several of his wives. We're going to go back there when the weather gets better - we didn't get to see the gardens properly, and the maze was a little spoiled by the cold and rain. Afterwards, we came home and had a long hot bath... I actually stayed in the water for about 2 hours, and at no time was I too warm. Its about 00:30 and I feel warm now for the first time today. Going to get some sleep now

Not much going on of interest that you don't know about already. Been messing around with this site a bit, doing some back-end database re-programming, changing the menus etc. Don't know where I'm going with it, but getting there is most of the fun for me anyway... or hadn't you noticed that already? DSL is running horribly quickly today... I downloaded a 60Mb file in about seven minutes earlier! Be jealous ;-) Note to me - translate the text smileys here to graphics automatically.

Odd. For the last two weeks I've ben looking at moving this site to another hosting service, because it has been really show and un-available most of the time. I've just logged on to the net using a different set of DNSs though, and I can get through perfectly. Have to check into whether my DSL line is doing strange things. Anyway, now that I know how to get back here, will update stuff later :-)
