In case you hadn't noticed, I've beeen doing the seriously busy thing dgain this week. Localisation is just stupid at this stage - I had to work an 18 hour day on Wednesday, and all the other days were over 12 hours. It sucks, so I'm going to have it changed soon. We went looking for somewhere to live yesterday. We had been to an introduction agency (They put you in touch with landlords until you find a place to live in, then you pay them a weeks rent as commission) and they got us to look at a couple of places… one of which we didn't even go to as it was just too small, and one which was bigger but didn't have a telephone. They wouldn't let me install one either, so we said fuck-it to that one. On Tuesday we have an appointment with some agency who own loads of houses and may have something we can lease. We'll just have to see what they can offer.

Next weekend I'll be in Ireland again. There's a party for the voulenteers on AOL, and I've been asked to demo AOL 5 to them. Should be an interesting time… of all places they're keeping me in the Berkley Court :-)

Let me sum up the last two weeks… BUSY. We've done a serious amount of work on our next version of AOL 5, and that's been taking up about 50 hours of every week lately. Last week in Ireland was… well, you know how it was as most of you heard about it all afterwards. It was good to see everyone again though. This week has been the same kind of hectic - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday I spent coding and building forms, and Thursday/Friday I was over in Dublin for work stuff. Crashed in Max's, which was fun. There wasn't much time for doing anything personal though when I was there - I would have needed to stay for the weekend for that. I was so tired that I spent most of yesterday being tetchy and didn't relax properly until I had decided that I was going to get some sleep. Poor Anna bore the brunt of it too :-(

If you're been here lately you'll have seen that there isn't much going on. I promise I'll update more frequently from now on though, so don't stop reading :-)

D-Day. 6 days to my birthday. 5 days to a good weekend off in Dublin. We did nothing yesterday and it was brilliant :-) Went to the Wharf for some food, chilled out and basically just vegged. Hmm… Don't you think that word (vegged) always looks spelled wrong? Anyway, today was pretty much the same, no real activity happening, just some work and study for Anna. I tidied up some of the new "features" we're putting in my project, which took up most of the morning.

Had to be in at 10 this morning for a meeting. Ouch. I did get confirmation of my tickets though - we're going to Dublin on Friday next for 3 days :-))) Should be a lot of fun :-) Worked loads today, went for a quiet pint with Nic, Jackie and Emma, then went home and chilled out. We ordered pizza this evening from some place whose menu was beside the phone. I rang them and they asked for my phone number and immediately I had said it she confirmed the address. One wonders just how much orders come from this phone number to them ;-)

Stayed in work until 1am this morning. Tomorrow is a big deadline for me, and I only discovered at about 12 today that I've been doing some things completely wrong over the last couple of weeks. I've been working twoards a point by adding features to my project individually, which wasn't the way to do it. The features are all quite difficult to add individually. However there exists an un-localised version of most of the features which I could have build into my project and then worked on them. This I started to do but like I said, I didn't get it finished until 1am. Anna came to the office at 7 or so, and we opened a bottle of wine, had some munchies and chilled for a little while. Then she got loads of study done while I continued working.

June. Worked hard enough that I didn't have time to write this - so I'm doing it on Saturday. I don’t remember what happened today so I guess it was just work.
